Hi and welcome.
I’m Cindi – SO excited for you to experience An Easy Journey blog!
Joe and I met the old-fashioned way…NO, not in a bar surprisingly but at work in the IT field. We quickly learned that we had a passion for each other, travel, food, wine and adventure!
Origins of An Easy Journey
It all began about 20 years ago, when we launched a travel scuba diving group. Co-workers in their 20’s going to Key West for a scuba diving trip…Key West, young, fun-loving adults…yes, there are LOTS of stories that could be told but we quickly learned “What happens on the road, stays on the road!”
That trip was so much fun, that many others quickly followed and soon we were traveling throughout the US, Caribbean, Central America and Europe. At last count, we had planned or gone on over 200 trips and still happily traveling! We are often asked the secret of how we travel often and to such interesting places – first as a couple, then with babies and toddlers and now with teenagers! After all these trips, I have many tips, which I am happy to share with others.

We live in the DC area and have been life-long travelers. After informally travel consulting for years, we decided to start our travel planning and website blog to help others begin their own journeys.
Our Goal: to Inspire You to Make Unforgettable Memories Around the Table or Traveling Around the World.
With European heritages, we travel across the pond often visiting family, friends and having awesome adventures! We know because we go. If you are thinking about taking a trip, look around, drop us a line – Contact Us – know it can be a little nerve-wracking especially with young children or if traveling with severe food allergies, but I can promise you, we have done it! From traveling to Hawaii from the East Coast pregnant and with a 15-month-old…to traveling to Italy and Germany by myself with a 5- and 7-year-old.

In the Foodie Department
I am of Italian and German heritage and Joe is Polish and Puerto Rican – a fiery match! I was raised by excellent cooks – in fact, my Grandmother had her own restaurant. We cook healthy, easy, delicious recipes to share with you. Yes, usually Italian, my specialty. In cooking, I try to impart love and the joy of being together!
Our teenage son is ecstatic to be the official recipe taste-tester and resident gelato expert – that’s what spending summers in Italy since you were 5 does and our beautiful daughter is the master photographer behind (almost) all these incredibly fabulous photos on the website and social media.
