Ingredients
11 lbBoneless short ribs, pot roast or flank steak2 lbs. if meat has bones.
2clovesGarlic, minced.
1smallSweet Onion, small dice
1/4cupRed wine
6cupsBeef Broth
1/2cupDiced Carrots
126 oz canSan Marzano Crushed TomatoesCan sub jar of Passata.
Transfer to Slow-Cooker, making sure you get all browned bits in pan.
Add wine, San Marzano tomatoes and rest of ingredients (Not pasta).
Cook on high for 3 - 4 hours or on low for 7 - 8 hours according to the instructions of your specific slow-cooker.
When ready to eat, add pasta to salted boiling water and cook according to package directions. You want al dente as you will add cooked pasta to slow cooker for 2 minutes. Make sure to stir well when adding pasta to Ragu.
Serve in pasta bowls with grating of Parmesan cheese & Fresh Basil.
Notes
Good pasta choices are Pappardelle, Fettucine or Rotini.Can add salt & pepper to taste.
