Crumb Cake Topping

1/3CupCold Earth Balance Butter Substituteor Butter if no allergy

Instructions
Pre-heat oven to 325F.
Spray (check ingredients) or use parchment paper in baking dish.
To make shortbread base, whisk flour and salt together 1 minute. Set aside.
In KitchenAid stand mixer, cream butter substitute on medium speed for 2-3 minutes, then add sugar. Mix 1 minute, then add flour, mixing until combined.
5. Spread evenly in baking dish and bake for 5 minutes.
6. Remove baking dish and set oven temperature to 350F.
Apple Pie Filling
While shortbread base is baking, mix chopped apples, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, & Grand Marnier together.
Spoon over shortbread base, spreading evenly.
Crumb Cake Topping
In a medium bowl, add all ingredients together, making sure to cut in cold butter substitute. Form into crumbs & place gently on top of apple pie filling.
Bake approximately 30 - 40 minutes until apples are cooked thru.
Allow to cool slightly and serve as is or add @Oatly food allergy friendly "ice cream"!
