As a longtime food allergy family, it is super challenging to travel anywhere, no less 7,000 miles from home. 😃

For us, it is almost a 24-hour flight from the USA to the United Arab Emirates.

That means we will need to pack onboard enough safe, food allergy-friendly food for an entire day of meals, plus extra in case of delays/missed flights.

As luck would have it, there’s a missed flight to talk about!

Dubai with Food Allergies – A Delicious Stop

So, my daughter Katie was invited to her good friend’s wedding in India. Of course, she had to attend! We just need to figure out how to keep Katie safe with her many food allergies.

After looking at all options, our trip plan is to do a stop in Dubai – both en route to the wedding in India and on the return back to the USA.

As the owner of a travel agency that specializes in traveling with food allergies, Both India and Dubai, UAE has not been places that we typically plan for our clients.

But that is about to change!

Dubai with food allergies is a seriously great travel destination in our experience!

In all honesty, we are blown away by the ease of eating out with food allergies in Dubai.

Hotel:

The First Collection at Jumeirah Village Circle – a @Marriott Resort or

Often, we usually stay at an AirBnB or VRBO so that we are able to prepare our safe, allergy-friendly meals.

Transportation:

@Uber – You can reserve a female driver, as my daughter is traveling alone.

Travel Insurance with Medical (& YES, you absolutely NEED this!)

As we mentioned, the First Collection at Jumeirah Village Circle is the hotel we chose.

Of course, thinking about being able to eat in Dubai with food allergies is most important & a top reason for booking here.

There are multiple restaurants onsite, as well as room service.

The Village Bistro offers breakfast, lunch & dinner as well as Happy Hour.

It was easier for me to eat in Dubai than many places in the USA! – Katie K, PA.
