My Son Couldn’t Stop Eating These 15-Minute No-Fold Dumplings (Top-9 Food Allergen Free)!

This was my son Brandon’s 1st question as he quickly ate all of these delicious, food allergy friendly, no-fold Asian inspired dumplings. And then the part this food allergy chef/Mom LOVES to hear:
THEY ARE SO GOOD!!!
Of course, I had to laugh!
As Brandon is my 2nd child (his older sister Katie has multiple anaphylactic food allergies), he has spent his entire life cooking with me, a food allergy friendly menu.
And Brandon is an accomplished cook too!
From making completely homemade tortellini pasta in our apartment in Tuscany (by himself!) to making peanut-free Biscotti cookies & more! This isn’t just a compliment from a starving 23-year old!
Often, Brandon has been my sous chef, cooking partner & adventurous eater.

Viral No-Fold Dumplings Top 9 Food Allergen Free
So, if you’ve been on social media lately, these no-fold dumplings are all the rage!
But if you or your family has food allergies, traditional dumplings can be a minefield as often made with:
- soy
- sesame
- gluten and sometimes even
- coconut/nuts/peanuts
And that’s just the dumplings. Add in the accompanying sauces and we have even more food allergens to deal with!
But we have swapped out all Top9 food allergens to make these delicious Food Allergy Friendly Dumplings.
Now, full disclosure:
These 15-minute, no-fold dumplings (Top-9 Food Allergen Free) that my son couldn’t stop eating (& are pictured here) have gluten dumpling wrappers and chili crunch sauce with sesame because that makes it food allergy friendly for us.
However, we have made these dumplings many, many times Top9 Free and they are equally delicious! And for my daughter’s dumplings, we make with eggplant meatball base because she can’t eat meat. Top9, Food Allergy Friendly Dumplings: No-Fold, Ready in 15-Minutes
Top9 Free, Yummy Food Allergy Friendly No Fold Dumplings
Servings: 4 people
Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground chicken/pork/beef or vegetarian meatballs
- 1 - 2 TBSP Primal Kitchen Teriyaki or No-Soy Sauce or Coconut Aminos
- 2 Green Onions minced
- 1/2 TSP Fresh, grated Ginger
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 TBSP Avocado/Extra Virgin Olive Oil or Sesame Oil Plus more for pan.
- 1 TBSP Chili Oil Crunch (if omitting use 2 TBSP No Soy Teriyaki) Optional - Check ingredient for Food allergies
- 1 TSP Corn Starch - non GMO Gluten-free/non GMO
- 1 Pkg Rice wonton wrappers/Spring roll wrappers/Dumpling Wrappers or regular Wonton wrappers. GF/Reg.
- 1 Handful Fresh Cilantro or Green Onions chopped Optional, garnish
Dumpling Sauce
- 3 - 4 TBSP Soy-free Teriyaki Sauce We use Primal Kitchen
- 1 TSP Green onions minced
- 2 TSP Chili Crunch Oil Optional, check ingredients
Instructions
- Make our dumpling filling in a medium sized bowl, mixing all dumpling ingredients together.
- Add 2 TBSP Avocado/Olive/Sesame (if safe for you) Oil to a large skillet on the stove. Medium heat, allow to get oil warm before taking a small scoop and scooping meat/dumpling mixture in skillet carefully.
- Place 5 -6 dumplings in skillet depending on skillet size, could be more/less - being careful not to over crowd.
- Immediately put dumpling wrapper over each scoop of ground chicken and simply press lightly.
- Put a wrapper on each dumpling & add 2 TBSP of water carefully to skillet. Then cover for 6 - 8 minutes or until meat is cooked about 6 - 8 minutes depending on your stove.
- After cooking 6 - 8 minutes, remove skillet lid & allow to brown 1 minute before turning off stove and plating dumplings!
- Add extra no soy Teriyaki Sauce, Chili Crunch or even Spicy Asian mustard over top dumplings. Garnish with chopped Cilantro or more Minced Green Onion. Serve immediately but beware they will be hot!
